Logan and "BABY" updates

I have been told, my blog is seriously lacking. I know one post doesn't make for very interesting reading...but it is hard to update when you are working 24-7. I had to meet with some witnesses at 5:00 today at a Starbucks clear across town and we didn't finish until 7pm. I basically just left work 3 hours ago and in the morning...which comes way faster than I want it to...I will have to start all over again. I feel like a gerbil in a wheel everyday repeating the same stuff I did the day before. And to think...I paid $130 thousand dollars...(actually I am paying for it still) to be able to have this job...when all I really WANT to do is to stay home with my little princess. Speaking of...she just finally stopped crying and saying, "mommy, lay down!" I may be the only person who still has a baby monitor in my 2 year old's room, but it is comforting to hear what is going on in there. Especially when she says, "Mommy...I poo pooed" and I go in there and she is standing in the bed pants less with a pull-up full of poop and 2 seconds away from making a huge mess that I have to clean up before leaving for work. I was lucky that time. After 2 or 3 months and many many long nights of laying with Logan until she fell asleep, Ronny and I have ONCE AGAIN trained her to fall asleep on her own, in her OWN bed and stay in her room all night long. With the help of a baby gate of course. This will be the third time we have accomplished this feat. The first transition from crib to bed was so easy. She never got out of her bed....ever. Then, we started laying with her to fall asleep...big mistake. She got used to us being in there when she fell asleep...so we re-trained her. We were so proud of ourselves. We had to be strong for 4 nights in a row...and she was back to normal...until something happened. I don't know what that something was...but somehow we were back to laying down with her until she fell asleep, except this time, she would wake up in the middle of the night (4am) and we would go get her and bring her into our bed...because it was easier. BIGGER MISTAKE! After that...it was all over...all she wanted to do was go to "mommy's bed." I think it was just too easy to lay there because she puts her tiny little arm under your neck and wants to cuddle with you and kisses you a million times. It is really hard to leave that. I am gonna be strong though this time...because I have to. It was causing me serious anxiety, especially since I will have a newborn in 6 short months! I cannot believe that. It hasn't really sunk in yet. Although, when I glance down at my waistline, I am reminded that there is something going on in there. I didn't gain any weight until the last few days. I think I have put on 3 pounds...which isn't bad. I was feeling pretty bad the first few weeks. Very different from my first pregnancy...I am convinced it is a boy. I am starting to feel less and less queasy. I just can't let myself get too hungry. I only want to eat things that are really terrible...like Slim Jims, cup of noodles, lucky charms, bean and cheese tacos or actually just tacos in general, pickles, olives....pretty much any processed foods with a lot of salt and spicy or sour stuff too. I ate about 5 cloves of pickled garlic yesterday. Had a bit of heartburn after that one. I hope when I am feeling a hundred percent, I can mix in a vegetable or two for this little one. I got my new nursery bedding last weekend and put the crib together...with Logan's help. It is adorable! Logan wanted to get in and try it out...but that only lasted until she thought she was going to have to take a nap in there. I cannot believe how much she is growing and how smart she has become. She was reading her "Ten apples up on top" book and started counting..."1,2,3,4...6,7, 8,9,10!" I was amazed. She is learning so much and I can't believe she is becoming such a big girl.

Trying to keep up

So, I finally decided to join the rest of my friends in the blogger world and create one of my own. Well, not really...my friend, Nicole, created it for me...probably because she knew I wouldn't actually do it. I probably would have just talked about how I needed to start one for the next 2 years and then been envious of everyone else who had their children's lives documented while I am still on the first page of Logan's scrapbook from the day she was born...which is where I currently am on that project. I litteraly have thousands of dollars in "scrapbook stuff" collecting dust in my craft room. I wish I had the time and energy to catch up on that. But, I am taking a crack at this instead, because I can do it from the comfort of my own bed. Which is where I am spending a lot of time these days. I am officially 10 weeks pregnant today and I have been absolutely exhausted lately. I have a list of ONE MILLION things to do, my house is a wreck, my child is wanting me to go play in her "kitchen" and all I want to do is lay on the couch...yep, definitely pregnant!
